Gymnastics


Kara Eaker has been a member of the women's national team since 2017. She is well known for her difficult combinations on beam, and also for her innovative and artistic routines. One of the more experienced international gymnasts, Kara has been a member of two worlds teams, competed at one Pan Am and one Pac Rim, and 2019 International Gymnix, having much success as an individual, and bringing home team gold at all four major competitions.


Some highlights from her career include:


• Winning individual gold on beam at the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima

• Receiving the gold at the 2019 Pacific Rims on beam

• Won all-around gold at 2019 International Gymnix

• Finished first on beam at both the US Classic and Worlds Section Camp in 2019




Personal


Kara Eaker was born on November 7, 2002 in Jiangxi,China as Kara Ming. She was adopted in 2003 and now resides in Grain Valley, MO with her parents and three siblings. She first started gymnastics at the age of three, and when asked how she became involved in the sport, she stated,


"I started doing parent-tot classes to run off energy and because I was so flexible. After starting, I enjoyed it so much that I wanted to be in the gym every day."


In her free time she enjoys sewing, cooking, reading, and robotics. Her favorite subjects in school are math and science.


Kara will graduate from Grain Valley High School in 2021.
